Mezzo-soprano Ksenia Chubunova was born in Moscow. After physics and mathematics studies she began her music lessons, first – in Moscow State Conservatory and afterwards – in HfMT Hamburg and UdK Berlin.
Ksenia made her professional debut in 2022 at the Festival della Valle d’Itria, singing Mademoiselle Blanche in Prokofiev‘s ‘The Gambler‘ (conductor – J.Latam-Koenig, stage director- Sir David Pountney). After the big success she was invited to the Teatro Regio Torino as a part of Regio Ensemble, where she was engaged in seasons 2022-2024. Among the roles, sang at Regio: Rosina (Barbiere per le scuole), 2nd Lady (Zauberflöte), Noe’s wife (Noe’s fludde), Lyubasha (Tsar’s bride), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Suzanne (Mari a la port), Suzy (La Rondine), Wowkle (Fanciulla del West), Ma Moss (Tender Land), Suor Dolcina (Suor Angelica). She worked with such conductors as S.Quatrini, V. Uryupin, D. Yurovsky, F.Lanzillotta, F.I.Ciampa, P.Steinberg, and such stage directors as B. Kosky, D. Micheletto, P .- E. Russeau, V. Carrasco and T. Kratzer.
